Hi! I started Green-Heroes.com to get global citizens to come together and share their deeds online on how they contribute in keeping earth green and reducing global warming . It was meant as a repository of sorts to show little things do count but unfortunately, the response was rather low so I had to shut it down. But since I have made some posts, I decided to move them here. So if you still have a deed to share, swing it by me and I’ll add them with your name. Thanks.

The world we live in is in an unstable state. Temperatures around the world are rising and we have already seen its effects such as Hurricane Katrina and the melting of the Arctic. Who bears the brunt of these effects? People. Animals. Nature.

You and I can play a big part in promoting the healing of Earth through conservation and green practices. Each contribution is important and together we can achieve an exponential outcome.

I urge you to take the pledge from LIVE EARTH as a guide to your green actions.

I PLEDGE:

• To demand that my country join an international treaty within the next 2 years that cuts global warming pollution by 90% in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth;
• To take personal action to help solve the climate crisis by reducing my own CO2 pollution as much as I can and offsetting the rest to become “carbon neutral;
• To fight for a moratorium on the construction of any new generating facility that burns coal without the capacity to safely trap and store the CO2
• To work for a dramatic increase in the energy efficiency of my home, workplace, school, place of worship, and means of transportation
• To fight for laws and policies that expand the use of renewable energy sources and reduce dependence on oil and coal
• To plant new trees and to join with others in preserving and protecting forests; and
• To buy from businesses and support leaders who share my commitment to solving the climate crisis and building a sustainable, just, and prosperous world for the 21st century.

We hope to share many simple and easily applicable Green Deeds with the rest of the world and also to join other Green Heroes/Organizations in spreading the message to heal our this Earth that has given us so much. It’s time for us to give back. Go green ok.
